Today marks the 91st anniversary of the first appearance of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God, who appeared 6 times to 3 shepherd children; Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta; between May 13 and October 13, 1917.

A Prayer to Our Lady of Fatima:

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Queen of the most Holy Rosary, you were pleased to appear to the children of Fatima and reveal a glorious message. We implore you, inspire in our hearts a fervent love for the recitation of the Rosary. By meditating on the mysteries of redemption contained therein may we obtain the graces and the virtues that we ask, through the merits of Jesus Christ Our Lord and Redeemer. Amen

Bloomsday 2009

We went too the Bloomsday race this year that is held annually in Spokane. It is one of the biggest races in WA and it was the talk in the newspapers across county. This was our first year and I have personally been dreaming of running in this event for many years. What an incredible experience it was for our family and well worth any pain we endured after walking at least eight miles by the end of the day. I only wish we had a photos of our family all holding hands as we crossed the finished line together! I am so proud of my little ones for hanging in there to the end! The Bloomsday race will become a new family tradition that will be celebrated for years to come!
