Earth Day

In celebration of earth day this week we decide to make a paper mache globe. This creative idea came from Kaboose. Of course this was not only a time too enjoy a fun crafting project during school time, but a perfect opportunity for mom to share the significance of caring for our earth. We are recyclers and each of the children take turns shorting and taking the items out to the recycle bin. Once a week we make a date with Grandma K too walk around the neighbor hood to pick up all the garbage we can find. We discussed why we only use eco friendly cleaning and laundry products. (We shop with Mealeuca) Our little ones where surprised that we already do so much to care for our earth! I have always leaned more on the naturalist side in comparison to hubby, and I think our children are becoming little tree huggers too.

It looks like Spring!

If you were to look out side today you certainly would not think spring has sprung! It is cold, and cloudy with gust of wind 25/35 mph. Just days ago it was absolutely beautiful here and I was lucky enough to get a few pics of Firecracker enjoying the sunshine in our front yard.
